Funny Pie

Funny Pie is another one of my grandma Sjoholm's recipes and another family favorite!  Nothing is better than an slice of Funny Pie and a scoop of vanilla ice cream!

Preheat the oven to 350, butter the bottom and sides of a pie dish

Ingredients

1 stick of melted butter
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup flour
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 tablespoons cocoa
Mix all the ingredients in a mixing bowl until smooth.

Pour mixture into your pie dish

Bake for for 25-30 minutes.  You want your funny pie to be pretty firm and not gooey.  When you eat the pie it will be chewy and oh so yummy!  Don't forget to serve it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!

sounds like brownies. Why is it called funny pie?

It's close to brownies, thinner and chewier than normal brownies. I have no clue why it's called funny pie, that's what i grew up with it being called! =)
